BaiCoder · prototype notice
This draft describes the current local learning prototype. It is not the final privacy notice for a public launch. Last updated 12 October 2026.
To let you pick up where you left off, BaiCoder saves completed lesson names, your current lesson, practice totals by question and skill—including whether your most recent answer was correct—and text you enter in the project-brief and bug-report workshops. This information is stored in local storage in the browser you are using. Guest progress stays in this browser. When signed in, lesson completion and reviewer answers can sync to your account in Supabase. Account data includes your email and profile information.
You can clear either practice draft from its own worksheet, clear all learning data from the Progress page, or clear this site’s data in your browser. Other people who can use the same browser profile may be able to see saved learning information.
There is no screenshot upload, project connection, or AI analysis of your screen. Typing a local address such as localhost:3000 into an exercise does not give BaiCoder access to your computer.
The project-brief prompt is assembled in your browser. It is sent to an AI only if you choose to copy it and paste it into an AI service; that service handles it under its own privacy practices.
Optional first-party activity measurement uses a random browser cookie with a 90-day lifetime. When enabled, it records page paths, external referring hostnames, timestamps, and your account ID if signed in. It does not store query strings, full referring URLs, IP addresses or raw user-agent strings in the analytics tables. Hosting providers may keep their own infrastructure logs. The public learner count exposes only a total; administrators can view activity summaries. Known crawlers are excluded where recognized. Do Not Track disables activity reporting. There is no advertising SDK. Links to external documentation open third-party sites, which have their own privacy practices.
Signed-in learners can optionally share building tools, experience level, and how they discovered BaiCoder. You may skip the survey or edit it under Learning preferences. Administrators see aggregate responses; your responses remain linked to your account. Activity history is intended to be retained for 90 days using a scheduled cleanup job, which must be enabled with the analytics deployment. Survey preferences remain until updated or the account is deleted. Turning off measurement stops new activity reports; existing history is not automatically erased. Contact the operator through the founder’s linked portfolio for account-data requests.
File uploads and other future features would change what information is handled. BaiCoder must publish an updated notice that explains those features, the chosen hosting and data services, retention, and how to contact the operator before enabling them for public learners.
This prototype notice is a product description, not a legal compliance review. Read the prototype terms.
